Ingredients
  

  • 4 chicken apple sausages, sliced
  • 2 cups white or brown rice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional fresh herbs for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Cook rice according to package instructions.
  • Warm olive oil in a spacious pan on a medium setting
  • Pan-fry the sausage slices for 5-7 minutes until they achieve a golden-brown crust.
  • Add onions and garlic, and sauté until translucent.
  • Add bell peppers and cook until tender.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste
  • Serve sausage mixture over cooked rice.
  • Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

  • It can be made with different types of rice (brown, white, or wild rice)
  • Keep any remaining portions fresh for up to 3 days by storing them in a sealed container.
